What is Spagyria?

Spagyria is the medicinal branch of practical alchemy. A life-affirming science, philosophy & art, by which a form [herb] is separated into its principle aspects, elevated, and then recombined to produce a higher version of itself.

Unlike all other herbal extracts, spagyrics are unique as they contain the herb’s full spectrum: purified volatiles, all active hydroethanolic constituents, subtle energetics, and specific mineral salts & esthers that enhance potency, bioavailability and apply to our beings as a whole.

They are not partial extracts, but rather a complete transformation.

The Spagyric Process

Working with each plant is a slow and meditative act of deep connection, yielding something special that cannot be mass produced.

The process involves the separation of the Three Primes of a form: that which is volatile [🜍], that which is fixed [🜔], and that which connects and inspirits the two [☿].

Separation of [🜍] – particular herbs may be distilled when rich in volatiles. Essential oils/resins are purified and stored hermetically.

Separation of [☿] – the herb is broken down and macerated in a specific menstruum of pure spirits & water. After a certain time & conditions the tincture is pressed, filtered, and stored. [🜍] may also be extracted through maceration for some herbs.

Separation of [🜔] – after pressing, the remaining marc is calcined by fire to a white ash, from which the alkaline mineral matrix is leached into distilled water, filtered, evaporated, crystalised, powdered and stored.

Spagyric Cohobation – the Three Primes of the herb are recombined under certain conditions and allowed to circulate & potentise before a final filtration and bottling.
